Title: Gentleman of Her Dreams

Author: Jen Turano

Series: Ladies of Distinction #0.5

Genre: Historical

Audience: Adult

~ MY REVIEW ~
**4 stars*

Gentleman of Her Dreams was a quick, sweet, and very humorous tale. *smiles*

I fell into the story at once, and read all through it almost without delay. Quite delightful and charming. I laughed at Miss Charlotte Wilson, sighed over Mr. Henry St. James, and felt some pity for Mr. Hamilton Beckett and all others caught up in Charlotte's schemes ... *grins*

If you're looking for an easy read with refreshing humor and captivating quality, then do try out Gentlemen of Her Dreams and the novels that follow it!

Sweet romance ... one kiss or so. No violence. A slightly intense scene. A simple faith theme to tie in with the story.

I look forward to A Change of Fortune!

Title: Love, Tink

Author: Elle Strauss

Series: Love, Tink #1

Genre: Fairy Tale

Audience: Teen

~ MY REVIEW ~
**5 stars**

Ah, cutest, little story ever! *smiles* Based on the story of Peter Pan, this fairy story totally captivated me. I love fairies! And this little, fae world was amazing. Not to mention, we have a disgruntled Captain Hook, and the Lost Boys, who are originally from New York. Love, Tink is one of the best fairy stories I've ever read. Tinkerbelle is so endearing ... I love her character so much! Peter is great too; but I definitely connected with Tink the most. If you're looking for a light-hearted, sweet, enthralling tale, look no further! ^_^

Totally clean so far. No violence or creepiness. A completely sweet, (hopeful), (budding) romance.

I can't wait to read the next episode of the Love, Tink series!

Title: The Unveiling

Author: Tamara Leigh

Series: Age of Faith #1

Genre: Historical

Audience: Adult

~ MY REVIEW ~
**2 stars**

Despite the medieval era being one of my interests, and though I do enjoy romance most of the time, The Unveiling just didn't exceed two stars for me.

It tells the story of a young woman who, embittered by her brother's dishonorable death, dresses up as a man and goes through a young man's training in order to extract revenge on the one who she thinks killed Jonas. From there, troubles abound and lessons are learned.

I don't know ... I just couldn't get into this book. I'm not saying it was bad writing by any means; I guess it just wasn't my taste exactly. I didn't connect with the characters, or the story really either, for that matter. It's an intriguing enough storyline, but for some reason it just didn't spark my interest.

My real complaints of The Unveiling would be one, the bit of crudeness in some areas. I could have done without that; and also felt there was some lack of reverence to the name of God. Secondly, I was a little disturbed how at a point or two, the hero of the story didn't show much honor in his handling of Annyn. Thirdly, there were a few comments that alluded to honoring "ladies", but doing whatever one wants with "harlots". That really confused me. You can lower yourself to sin because they're already "used" or something? It dashed my respect for the "hero" by a lot, that's for sure.

That being said, this book has mature content, and I would say its written for adults. Not much as for violence, though perhaps a few intense/frightening moments.

There were some good moments of The Unveiling. I picked out a poignant theme or two, which were appreciated, even if the book wasn't a favorite. I suppose, if you like historical-romance, you could give The Unveiling a try, and then decide for yourself if you agree with my dislikes or not. *smiles*

Title: Waltz into the Waves: A Cinderella Story

Author: Sarah Holman

Series: Standalone (novella)

Genre: Historical/Fairy Tale Retelling

Audience: Teen

~ MY REVIEW ~
**4 stars**

Waltz into the Waves was a short, sweet retelling of Cinderella. Though staying pretty true to the classic fairytale storyline, Waltz into the Waves had a few surprising twists, and was just fun and enjoyable all the way through. Totally recommend this clean, cute tale to anyone looking for a few moments of romantic, "Cinderella-story" pleasure! *smiles*

Title: Word and Deed: A Short Story

Author: Rachel Rossano

Series: Standalone (novella)

Genre: Historical

Audience: Young Adult-Adult

~ MY REVIEW ~
**4 stars**

Word and Deed is a quick and captivating story telling of Verity, a young woman in the cruel hands of her murderous half-brother, and doomed to an arranged marriage to man she's never met. She must chose who to trust with her words, and her heart, in this tale.

As I mentioned, it was a fast read. I read it all through almost in one sitting. Thoroughly entertaining and quite sweet, with a dash of chill and evil plots, it was definitely worth it! *smiles*

It was a clean read, though the romance would call for about 16 and up; and there was no overmuch violence.

I greatly look forward to reading more by Rachel Rossano!
