~ MY REVIEW ~
**4 stars**

A Purple and Gold Afghan was a sweet, humorous story with a realistic feeling. It was a quick read, and I found it quite enjoyable.

Joseph has just entered seminary school … and it’s about the last place he wants to be right now. –Until he finds a beautiful purple and gold afghan waiting on the bed in his dorm. Intrigued and encouraged, Joseph sets out to find the meaning of this lovely piece of crochet work. And what he finds has him wishing to stay at the school instead of going home for Christmas break.

Written in first person (like Joseph telling his story kind of as it happens) the stories in this book were just cute. A Purple and Gold Afghan, The Plate of Christmas Cookies, and A Life-Changing Mix-up all follow Joseph’s reactions and stumblings in his simple and endearing friendship with Rachel. Thoroughly entertaining, life-like short stories that show the gentle, sometimes blundering lines of a love story.

$.99 on Amazon as a Kindle book guys! *smiles* Find out more about Jordan Smith, his book, and this fun contest by visiting: http://homeschoolauthors.blogspot.com/2014/06/jordan-smith.html
