Some Random Things . . .

     So just felt like doing a random blog post today, :) First of all, here's some fabulous book covers I've discovered recently . . .

     So what do you think of those? Are you planning on reading any of them? Have you read any yet?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Also, I've been watching a bit of Robin Hood recently! The BBC version. I didn't expect to like it, but I'm actually quite intrigued! It's adventurous, hilarious, and has a little romance going on. It has refreshingly little violence . . . though there is a lot of fighting, and a few scenes that are dark/a bit gruesome. And the first episode did have this kissing scene that was a bit appalling. But pretty much, it's just fun! For action, adventure, and some laughs, it's fun, :)
     Robin Hood cracks me up. But he does really need to be whacked over the head sometimes . . . thankfully, we have Little John for that, hehe, ;D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

     Otherwise . . . I'm doing pretty well with Camp NaNoWriMo. Managing to stay on top of my goal! (Even while getting distracting by other story ideas).

     Heard back from one beta reader for Silver Rose, and excited to hear back from more!! :)

     Almost finished reading my ARC of Five Enchanted Roses. Hoping Amazon will let me write a review soon!

     I won an e-copy of The Reckoning by Marylu Tyndall, which is super exciting and I can't wait to read it!!!

     I'm mulling over some big decisions that need to be made in my life, and would appreciate your prayers if you ever think of it! :)

Blessings, dear readers! <3

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

  1. Cover art and Robin Hood? What fun! Sarah's cover is gorgeous and I was a big fangirl of season one for this BBC spin. It was a fun, insanely adventurous take on the story. I just wish BBC didn't change up so much of their "lighthearted" series (i.e., Merlin, this, etc.). I'm hoping they steer clear of that with their latest series (like this), which is The Musketeers.

    1. Dawn at Emberwilde is gorgeous, isn't it?? I love it! :)

      Robin Hood has been such fun so far!! Are the next seasons as nice? Or do they get changed up, as you were saying? O_O

      What's The Musketeers like?

  3. Lovely book covers! I've heard of some of these, but not all, so it is exciting to see them - they look good! I need to get caught up on Sarah Ladd's books; I've read her very first two books and really enjoyed them - just need to read the next in the first series, and the first in her second series! All look good. :)
    Glad you're enjoying Robin Hood - I tried it once but didn't like Robin or Maid Marian...so I stopped. I loved Sir Guy though. XD Everyone keeps telling me i need to give the show another try...
    I'm glad that your writing is coming along nicely, and you've heard back from a beta-reader! That's so exciting!! (Oh and congrats on winning that book!! Fun!).
    Praying for you!!

    1. Glad you enjoyed, Raechel!

      I think I'm about where you are, concerning Sarah Ladd's books. I'm woefully behind on reading by authors I usually read by, because we moved away from this superb library . . . and I haven't visited a library in like a year, eek! O_O Thankfully, I do have my kindle packed with books, and review books from Bethany House and Revell!

      Maybe you should, *shrug* It's not that important, but I find it quite funny! :D Robin Hood can be ... hmm, a boyish sort of sassy? Which would probably be extremely vexing in real life, but it makes me laugh in the movie!

      Thanks!! It's all quite exciting! :D

      Aww, thanks!! ^_^ Blessings! <3

  4. I know - I am woefully behind too. What a bummer that you moved away from a superb library!! When we moved 12 years ago, it was the same for us. Our librar is fairly good - I can't complain - but our old one was sooo nice and had like every book!
    Yes, true. That's where I am 'swamped' is by review books. I've got a bit more than I can handle sometimes! I'm doing okay now, I think, but I have some four or five coming!

    Good to know - I will try Robin Hood again sometime. We'll see how far I make it! XD
    :)

    1. Yeah, it's pretty sad to move away from a spectacular library! Haha. It is though, :(

      Sometimes I do that too! But since I stress easily, I'm trying to cut back on how many review books I accept . . . at least somewhat, ;D

      Okay! :D

  6. Hi! I'm doing NaNo and my word goal is 50,000, though am way, way, way far from finishing. Also, I'm really busy and haven't had much of a chance to read Silver Rose, but I like the first 1 and a half chapters (that's as far as I've gotten)!

    1. Hey! 50,000, that's great! I didn't dare set my goal that high, O_O But best wishes on your writing for Camp NaNo!

      Yeah, life is busy!! But glad you enjoyed the first bit anyway, :D

  7. I love the covers of Dawn at Emberwilde and King's Folly! Stolen looks intriguing, too -- I'm always a sucker for a good dragon book. :)

    My husband and I started watching Robin Hood a few weeks ago, though I think we've only watched the first two or three episodes. It's a fun show, and the episodes are only 30 minutes, which is great when we want to watch something but don't have much time.

    1. Yep, those are always fun!! :D Dragons are just intriguing creatures!

      That is the nice thing about tv shows! Usually each episode is quite a bit shorter than your average movie.
