Fashion: A Blue and White Maxi Dress

Yay!! I'm finally doing another fashion post! ^__^

Today, I'll be modeling a blue and white maxi dress. Which I happen to have gotten at Walmart for $9!!! So, never let it be said that modesty is too expensive! These type dress and skirts are "in" right now and everything! ;)

This dress is long and flowing, not too clingy. It has a nice neckline. Basically I just wear a tank top and slip because it's thin-ish material.

I didn't mix and match today, but you can wear different styles of shoes, cardigans, and jewelry to change the look a little. And this type of dress is just so nice when you don't feel like struggling to find a suitable outfit. Just throw on the dress, sandals, and earrings, and call it good! :D

So what do you think? Would you call maxi dresses modest? Are they something you would wear? I'd love to hear your thoughts!! :)

  1. You do fashion posts? Fabulous! Yes, I think I would wear a maxi dress if I could find one long enough since I'm almost 6 feet tall lol plus I can't usually find one that cheap.

    1. Yes, I try, at least!! :D

Hmm, I suppose that would present a problem!! Well, maybe someday you'll find one long enough!! ^_^

I know, I was so excited when I realized it was only $9! It was supposed to be $15, but was on sale, even more, I guess! :D It was great!

    2. @Eliza Noel: I have the opposite problem!! I found a really cute skirt the other day but sadly it dragged the floor...like most maxi dresses and skirts :(

    3. @Grace haha, yeah... I have a lot of skirts that are supposed to go almost all the way down to the floor but are right at a weird length for me so I usually roll up the waist to make it a short skirt (right down to my knees) and it looks better. Maybe you could fold over the waist to make it not too long :D

  2. You're so pretty! :)
I've never owned a maxi dress, but have lots of maxi skirts. They're so comfortable and flow-y. :D
And 9 dollars is cheap! Especially since it's so beautiful -- blue is my favorite color. :)

    1. Aww, thanks, Katie! ^_^

I have two maxi dresses, and also just got a maxi skirt! They are so comfortable! And just so gorgeous . . . I love them! :)

Yes! It was a good day of shopping! :D Blue is my favorite color too! Just lovely, ^_^

  3. Ooh, pretty! I love the one with you in that wheat field or whatever it was. ^_^ It's really pretty on you, such a lovely blue! I don't have any maxi dresses and am never very much of a clothing shopper I'm afraid... :P If I'm going to be shopping I'd rather look at books. XD But there's a twice a year clothing resale shop that I go to every year to get my shopping done and it's nice and cheap and I can USUALLY find a skirt or two... I tell you, though, clothes shopping can be weird... Half the time I'm just going "people WEAR these? O_O" There's some weird clothes out there. XD Um... that was a long and unrelated rant... Anyways, nice post! :D (And I tagged you on my blog. :) https://deborahocarroll.wordpress.com/2015/06/25/sisterhood-award/)

    1. Thanks! Yeah, I'm not really sure what it is, actually ... XD But my sister thought it was the perfect location!!

Haha, I understand! I'm not much into shopping either. I decided I wanted a new dress, so my mom, my sisters, and I went out shopping. After the first store, my mom looks at me and says:
      "I'm already tired of shopping."
      "...Me too." Ha! :p
My type of shopping is totally strolling through Walmart looking at cool movies and books ... Ooh, see a cute dress, let's buy it! :D

'Cause usually, I'm so looking at the books, ^_^

XD I KNOW!! Some clothing! (And people). Too funny!

Thanks for the rant, it was fun! :D

And eep!! Yay! Another tag; I shall do it next week probably! Thanks for thinking of me! ^_^

  4. Yep, love the maxi skirt/dress trend. I have one that I wore to a wedding (hot pink) and it was about perfect. Most of the time the dresses are a bit too long even with heels. Fortunately this one worked okay. :)

    1. Isn't it the best? Just so elegant and lovely, ^_^ Ooh, that's fun! And wonderful that it wasn't too long! :D I guess I'm just tall enough (5'5'') that they work just fine for me!

  5. Ooh, you are so pretty! And so is that dress. ;) It's adorable and modest and I would totally wear it! (The problem with me and Walmart is...well, I'm petite, and they never ever have my size in skirts and dresses. It's frustrating. But rue21 is good for maxi skirts, and so is Kohl's and JCPenney, and I love maxi skirts and dresses!)

    1. Aww, thanks, Amanda!! ^_^ I totally agree that the dress is quite gorgeous! The white and blue, and flowy-ness! :)

Oh dear, that's too bad! But at least you've found some stores that work! My problem is usually that all the dresses and skirts (besides maxi dresses and whatnot) are way too short for me. But .... erm, I guess they're made to be that way?? *shakes head* Even if I wasn't so concerned about modesty, I still don't think I could ever be comfortable with the lengths of some dresses these days! Haha!

  6. I LOVE this dress! Beautiful! I wear maxi dresses (and skirts) alot. If the dress isn't what I would be comfortable in, I add a shirt under it or a cute sweater of it! :-)
    Great post!
