Top 10 Books to Read in 2015

Hey all! :) Today I wanted to do a post about books I'm hoping to read this year. Because I just love books!! =) *Ahem* Alright...let's start with #10.

#10 Buttermilk Sky by Jan Watson

Jan Watson's novels are amazing historicals, and I just enjoy them so much! So authentic, bittersweet, heart-touching. And not to mention, lovely covers! :)

#9 A Different Kind of Courage by Sarah Holman

I have read a bit by Sarah, and am looking forward to reading more. This book especially caught my attention, because its set in the colonial days!! Yay! Love that era! :D

#8 From the Dark to the Dawn by Alicia A. Willis

I've heard good things about Alicia's novels. This book happens to be on my kindle, so I'm excited to give it a try!

#7 Prince of Alasia by Annie Douglass Lima

Something about it...I just have a feeling this is going to be a good book, ;D It's fantasy...so that's great!

#6 The Wood's Edge by Lori Benton

Lori is a fabulous author. She actually reminds me a lot of Laura Frantz...maybe because they write stories set in the same era. Anyway, its like the 1700s, Native Americans, and all kinds of fascinating things! :D

#5 Arrow by R.J. Anderson

Fairy stories!! Who could resist?? ;D This is a particularly intriguing series, and I can't wait to read Arrow and see what happens!!

#4 A Time To Die by Nadine Brandes

Ooh, dystopian written from a Christian perspective!! I'm really excited to try out Nadine's book; it sounds fascinating!

#3 Season of Fire by Lisa Tawn Bergren

I read the first book in this series and just loved it!! Another Christian dystopian tale. It's thrilling and I can't wait to continue the journey!

#2 Samara's Peril by Jaye L. Knight

*Sigh*...the Ilyon Chronicles is one of my favorite fantasy series. I am so, so excited for when this book comes out. It's going to be amazing!! Jace and Kyrin!! <3 :D

#1 Poison Crown: The Smallman's Heir by Anne Elisabeth Stengl

And my number one most looked forward to would have to be Poison Crown. I...how do I wait patiently for this?? ;D I just know its going to be epic!! These complex fantasies, awesome characters...aww, can't wait to get back to it!

So yeah, there's my list. I really hope I get to read all these this year, but...we'll see I guess!

What is your list of books you hope to read in 2015? I'd definitely love to know!! :)

  2. Ooh, what a neat idea! I really enjoyed A Different Kind of Courage! I hope you will! ^_^

Yay fantasies! :) I'm... not a fan of dystopian though. :P Are you, though? Christian dystopian... have you read Captives by Jill Williamson or Swipe by Evan Angler?

I seriously need to read some Jace and Kyrin. o.o And catch up on Goldstone Wood. ;) I'm reading Veiled Rose right now, so yay! As for most excited for the year... I don't know. o.o I know I want to get to reading Out of Darkness Rising by Gillian Bronte Adams, and The Grimm Legacy by... I don't remember. :P Both of which are on my shelf staring at me... And there are some Twelve Dancing Princesses stories I want to read soon! And of course whatever books aren't out yet... So many books! :)

    1. Thanks! Yes, I hope so too!! :)

Fantasies are my favorite!! As for dystopian, I have been into it as of late (but not really sci-fi. That's not my thing). Like The Hunger Games movie series has me...particularly intrigued (and scared...for Peeta...and Katniss for that matter!! :p) Anyway. The dystopian series by Lisa Tawn Bergren has a fantasy twist to it, which could be why I love it so much! :D I haven't read either of those, but will have to look into them! :)

Aww, Jace and Kyrin! Yes, you must read about them!! ;D :D And Tales of Goldstone Wood, isn't it the best?? I just finished Draven's Light and it was FABULOUS!! Seriously SO excited for Poison Crown!!!

Ooh, Out of Darkness Rising is another one I really want to read! The Grimm Legacy and The Twelve Dancing Princesses... sound interesting! Let me know which retellings of The Twelve Dancing Princesses that you like!! Fairytales, yay!!! :D

I know!! There is just so many books waiting to be read! :) :)

  4. So many good books on this list! I'm interested to see what you think about The Wood's Edge (I've read a similar book by the same author) and A Time To Die (Christian dystopian? If it's good, I'd like to read it!). Also, I love the Ilyon Chronicles, and I'm slowly working my way through Ann Elisabeth Stengl's books. Happy reading!

    1. Yes! I'm quite excited to see what A Time to Die is like! I think I've only read one other Christian dystopian book.

Ah!! Ilyon Chronicles are great, aren't they?? And just what until you get to Draven's Light of the Tales of Goldstone Wood! It was only a novella, but still fantastic!! :D

Happy reading to you too! :)
