Faithful Fridays: Psalm 19:1-4

I decided to start what I'll call Faithful Fridays posts. Just sharing a Bible verse or two and perhaps some thoughts hopefully every week on Fridays. (As you can see, I got a late start today!)

"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.
There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out into al the earth, their words to the ends of the world."
Psalm 19:1-4
Our King is such an amazing, powerful, majestic God. And His creation proclaims that. But how easily we loose sight. So busy in our everyday lives. Running here, running there. We have our schedules and our lists and our things we want to do. Or we're not actually that busy. But just feel kind of listless--purposeless. Doing the same seemingly unimportant things every day and feeling so stuck in reality. That's me at the moment.
A few days ago it was warm and sunny, so I took my notebook and pen and went outside to sit on the trampoline. After writing a page or two, I just laid back and stared at the sky. It was so incredibly blue and limitless. It left me a little in awe. All I could see is the grand expanse of the sky and the sprawling, reaching branches of tall trees. I felt close to God. I felt peace. And truly, I don't actually feel that very often.
So go outside. Let creation sing the King's praises around you. Visit with Him today.
God is full of mystery, and beauty, and imagination. When I really stop to look at the gorgeous creation around me, I think I slip away for a moment from earthly reality and yet see things more clearly.
Perhaps that's why I like to write fantasy...

Anyway, that's all for my Faithful Friday post today.

Except, I'd like to quickly mention that my fairytale novella, A Dream Not Imagined, can now be added to your TBR list on goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/25331538-a-dream-not-imagined?from_search=true!! I'm so excited, my dear readers; and can hardly believe that I'll be publishing my first book soon here!! So incredible! I'm hoping to do a cover reveal for A Dream Not Imagined once the cover is finished. So if you're interested in being part of that...email me at shantelle@truevine.net.
